The Extreme 5 Challenge is a new race comprising of a swim, kayak, cycle and Run. It is a charity event, each team consisting of 4 people in a relay team, or for the hardend Quadrathletes can be done individually.

The distances 1.5km open water swim in Willen Lake, followed by a 5km paddle around the perimeter of the Lake.The 30km cycle takes you out of the Willen Lake complex onto the Milton Keynes Red Route system, it winds through country paths, local suburbia and for all but a short stretch, avoids roads with traffic. After two laps the cyclist returns to the Willen Lake Complex for the final run. A 10km run around the shores of the two lakes, to finish back at the centre of the complex.

Entry fee £65 per serson or £62.50 per person entering in a team, entries are limited to 100 teams.

Willen Lake is a fantastic outdoor centre located in Milton Keynes. With road and rail links making it easy to access from all directions. It offers a wide range of outdoor activities for every level of enthusiast. From sailing, water skiing, canoeing and windsurfing. You can walk run or cycle in the area and make use of the extensive network of pedestrian only 'Red Routes'. then relax on the site nearby, where there are a wide range of hotels and restaurants to choose from.

Congratulations to Gail King who won Ladies Overall title, to Josh Hook who took Gold in the Youth Championships, David Baker took Bronze in the Over 50's, and to Jan Skopecek for finishing a very creditable 9th in the senior male catagory.
