Marathon Race and Endeavour Tour
If you want some extra Kayak training during the winter Way Kayak Club, are organizing a Marathon Race and Endeavour Tour on Sunday 14th March 2010
Distances & Portages
Race: Wey Kayak Club to Pyrford Lock and back upstream to Farncombe and return to Wey Kayak Club. (27miles including 13 portages)
Endeavour Tour: Wey Kayak Club to Farncombe and back. (11miles including 6 portages) OR Wey Kayak Clubhouse to Pyrford Lock and return to Wey Kayak Club (16miles including 8 portages)
CLASSES: There will be two main classes: Open K2/C2 and Open K1/C1. Within each class there will be the following sub-classes as appropriate: K2/C2 Senior, K2/C2 Junior, K2/C2 Ladies, K2/C2 Mixed, Masters, K2/C2, Junior/Masters, K1/C1 Senior, K1/C1 Junior, K1/C1 Ladies, K1/C1 Masters. Juniors must be aged under 17 on 1st January 2010. Masters must be aged 34 or over on 1st January 2010. The tour event will be open to all classes.
Times will be recorded but it will not be a race.
PRIZES will be awarded for the Race but not the Endeavour Tour event.
ENTRIES: Pre-entries Senior/Ladies/Masters: £5.00 per seat. Junior: £3.00 per seat. Endeavour Tour: £3.00Junior/Masters, K1/C1 Senior, K1/C1 Junior, K1/C1 Ladies, K1/C1 Masters.
