Hebridean Challenge

Hebridean Challenge
With the Best Scenery in the UK!
Not a Quadrathlon but a team expedition race involving all the same discplines, the Hebridean Challenge is much loved by adventure racers and is unusual in its team relay format and the technical skills required by its disciplines - escpecially the kayaking.
The "Heb" provides five and a half days of tough racing in some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK. Running in a range of terrain from relatively easy sandy scrub to peat-bogs, trackless heather moors and jagged hills; road biking on quiet remote roads - nearly always windswept and mountain biking from easy paths to challenging technical routes; swimming in clear waters off beautiful sandy beaches and some of the best sea kayaking in the British Isles.
This year's event is due to start on Skye for the first time ever, before crossing to the Outer Hebrides to race up Harris and Lewis (kayakers may get to paddle across the Minch - a rare treat). It is not too late to enter, but you will need to act quickly. See http://www.hebrideanchallenge.com/ for details. If anyone is wanting to enter and needs team mates I can put them in touch with people who are in a similar situation (pn-bqaheb@engarts.com).
