Pleased to say that the Shrewsbury Sprint Quadrathlon on Sunday 2nd September has been given the go ahead.
Open water downstream 500m swim in the river Severn, followed by a 4.8km paddle, 23k road ride and a 5k run around the Shrewsbury showground - spectator friendly, camping available on site and a beautiful town to visit.
The Shrewsbury Triathlon will start after the Quadrathlon.

This looks set to be a great event. I have done the West Wight Triathlon several times - it is a well organised and very enjoyable. Being off road, the bike course will obviously be different for the Quad but there are excellent possibilities in the area and paddling round the needles is spectacular - shame there won't be time to explore some of the caves!

Love this race, as my first toe dip into multi sport last year it is my marker for fitness and with a new pb on Sunday, proves my hard work is paying off.
The people who run it are great, the village hall and food is an excellent addition, and make for a chance to chat to fellow friendy competitors afterwords. See u on December 4th

Thanks for mentioning Ryan! He had great success at the national sprints too, having not long returned from representing GB in the mens open dragon boating team, where they won a bronze medal in Tampa bay in August.

As his C1 paddlings more settled now Ryan is thinking about Winter wadenhoe and Boxend again in the new season and hopes to be back in the Quad scene.

Hi Jean - great article - one small thing, Maddie is going to Loire and won the U14s - but that's my sister, not me. Maddie will hopefully at Sedlcany next year, but hasn't been yet!

Other than that - congratulations for your result!
